Conclusion: is buying a Dubai City Pass right for my trip?

Before buying one city pass for Dubai, it’s important to know beforehand if the visits and activities correspond with your interests. Here below is some advice and our opinion for helping you choose which tourist card to buy when visiting Dubai.

Can I visit Dubai during a layover?

If you only have one day or more to enjoy the city, you will probably only be able to do the Burj Khalifa and roam around 2 or 3 key districts such as Deira (historical center) and the Marina for example.

In that case, it would be better to skip the city passes and just book a ticket for the Burj Khalifa. Since admission is by reservation only and by time slot, you should plan your reservation in advance.

Burj Khalifa

To take full advantage of the numerous activities the city has to offer, you’ll be needing a more comprehensive city pass. In that case, it is better to turn to the GO City Dubai Explorer which offers an à la carte service: you choose the number of visits and can then choose from a long list of attractions.
